There’s something bothering the girl im talking to and something is clearly wrong to the point where our daily conversation was kept short and the replies are hours in between. She hints but doesn’t say that she doesn't want to talk about it and that she doesn’t want to upset me with her problems either. Is it better to push for an answer or to acknowledge her and tell her that I’ll be there for her. I’m 70% leaning on the second option especially if it is personal but unsure if keeping issues like this unchecked is unhealthy as well

What Girls Said
As a woman, I'd honestly prefer the second option. If I'm upset and clearly not ready to talk, being pushed for answers would probably make me withdraw even more.
I'd appreciate a simple message like, “I can tell something is bothering you. You don't have to talk about it right now, but I'm here if you need me.”
Then I'd give her some space without disappearing completely. Sometimes just knowing that someone cares without demanding an explanation makes it much easier to eventually open up. ❤️
Don’t pressure her. Just let her know that you can tell something is bothering her and that you’re there for her if she wants to talk about it
The second answer is better. She’ll talk about it with you if and when she’s ready.
Just give her some space.
