If a guy only texts you, and his texting topics are boring, is this a deal breaker?

lets say you met an attractive guy, he gets your number and he texts you, but his texting topics/messages are boring and he only texts you, he doesn't call. Is this a deal breaker?

Hmm..

Having nothing to talk about with him, finding the conversations short and the topics boring would mean there's not much of a connection there/lack or chemistry. Even if a guy was the sexiest man on earth if we had nothing in common and didn't enjoy talking to one another, I'd be out of there.

But some people are better face-to-face then trying to communicate through texts or emails.. just depends on the girl and the guy.

yea I was texting a guy for a while who claimed he was into me but he would text the lamest stuff ever or was really flaky at texting me back which actually got me angry. And then he would just text an "lol" yea I refuse to text him first now...and I kind of try to stop texting him all together now because he's not even putting in an effort to talking to me so its useless.

You can't expect him to read your mind though. If he's the one initiating most of the time, give him some credit at least..

I find that the women are the onese who do crap like this...seem uninterested by texting back simple answers that don't help conversation..

I mean simple doesn't always mean bad. as long as it's not like 'lol' or something obviously lame. its very frustrating when it's like that though. but they may just be a bad over the phone person so that isn't enough to judge someone completely.

it's definitely very frustrating...it makes the girl think that you aren't really interested in her.

idk if its necessarily a deal breaker but its not a good thingg.

I've abandoned texting for non-crucial conversations and I rarely talk on the phone. As long as you spend time together, all should be well...As long as its quality time.

Well if I don't enjoy talking to him, then of course it is a deal breaker, it doesn't matter if he is attractive.

for me it wouldn't matter if we didn't talk on the phone, once or twice a month is okay. as long as you try and don't keep saying the same thing over and over again you will be fine.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily boring. You're trying to get to know this person. Does she ask you questions about yourself? Are you dating her? Seriously, I'd rather text than talk because half the time I'm multi-tasking and I don't have time to sit and have a conversation. Mix it up. Try to think of some stuff that would make her laugh.
