Just to make it clear, I am 23, the guy who is interested in me is 33.

I haven't been with anyone yet... to be honest I don't know how to bring it up without making a fool of myself.

What I have noticed though is that most older guys seem to cherish "innocence" in a woman more than young guys? Or am I wrong?

I hope I am right, at least partially, because I do hope this will work out.

I feel like single dads distribute their love more evenly with their child and partner than single moms do. Single moms are always saying that their children come before their partner.

especially in hearing from you if you’ve seen this shift or have experienced both sides (people age 35+).

My dad was commenting how he’s seen a dramatic shift in how men pursue women. He says that men now seem afraid to even approach a woman at a grocery store or gym and ask how they’re doing. He says everyone’s so engrossed in their games on the phone even when in public and lack social skills and don’t know how to speak to women let alone date.

Is this true? if so, how did men in the 80s-90s-00s behave vs. men now?

A girl in the Ukraine was on a dating site where some Russian soldiers also were. They were sending her pictures of themselves which included them standing in front of building or other landmarks, or even mention where they were. With Google and other sites she determined where they were camped at. So she turned this information to the Ukraine's and I'm sure you know the results. You just never know what information you let slip out will do you in.

Everyone says date in person it's"organic" but does the bar really scream that?

The person can't stand straight , on drugs or coming to see their bartender therapist isn't necessarily the best place to find the one.

So I have dated very few people and only really thought of it after knowing them a long time ‘& only by the time I was already falling in love or already IN love, tho still was not ready for a relationship and even ambivalent about just dating. I have never ever dated to experience & learn better how to date- dating was only after thought to my interest in a specific person.

it occurred to me that this can be very problematic. If you very rarely like anyone I think you can have a false- positive impression of their character. Just bc I’m so very rarely interested in someone this does not mean that anyone I AM interested in os necessarily good for me as a person/ partner or is even a good person at all.

And ultimately in my opinion experience is crucial. Every train wreck I’ve encountered on romantic scenarios was not due to anyone being evil but bc I had no clue WTF I was doing bc I was not used to caring about someone that I was also “into”. And I was extremely uncomfortable dealing with certain inevitable vulnerability etc plus brain freeze 😂

Anyhow , I think in interest of self development & interpersonal capability , I should consider dating as part of regular life & not a rare artifact that maybe I’ll encounter in a lifetime.

Now, when I say date I mean meeting you getting acquainted. I do not mean hook ups or vetting people for whatever agenda. Just getting to know people in a romantic contexts.

Of course I’ll be upfront so no one’s tine will be wasted if they are expecting sex or something heavily physical quickly. I’m Audi not interested in anyone paying for anything so no one is getting explored with no return.

Would it bother you to be asked out by someone who wasn’t blown away by you but was open to getting to know you?

ok basically. I'm 15 nearly 16 (five foot 1) and I have a crush on a guy I've known for years but he's only 14 (six foot 1). I'm in y11 he's in y10. my friends reckon that he likes me too because rn we are literally best friends. we are also practically neighbors. boyfriend of three years said I “my love” that I give is a special kinda of love that he wouldn’t be able to get else where. What does this mean? I feel kinda like that he only loves me because I love him hard but like not that I’m special any help?
