Do men nowadays not pursue women as much like in the 90s and 2000s?

especially in hearing from you if you’ve seen this shift or have experienced both sides (people age 35+).

My dad was commenting how he’s seen a dramatic shift in how men pursue women. He says that men now seem afraid to even approach a woman at a grocery store or gym and ask how they’re doing. He says everyone’s so engrossed in their games on the phone even when in public and lack social skills and don’t know how to speak to women let alone date.

Is this true? if so, how did men in the 80s-90s-00s behave vs. men now?

There's a saying, "chivalry is dead" but that's only a partial quote. "chivalry is dead, and women killed it."

Very long explanation short there's too much risk and hassle. Women have made it clear to about 80% of men to piss off. So we did. Now those same women can't find a man, can't imagine why.

Yes, the men don't want to appear "creepy", although this is how it was done for thousands of years, men approaching women.

I don’t think creepy men succeeded even 20 years ago but maybe they have a better shot at dating than men who never approach.
