Sometimes as people whe get so intrigued by someone's appearance that we can overlook some serious red flags.

I think the most awkward is inbetween. So like when someone says kinda cliche date-like questions but is also very uncomfortable with the situation. Rather than either being very much in their element in dating, or taking it slow.

For me I prefer to be friends first so even if I ask soneobe out or vice herds, I do best in the friendly realm initially. I think of dating as ‘friendship with potential’. So I would not date someone I wasn’t friends with but I also do not automatically switch gears if we are dating.

I understand this is not ideal for many snd rewuires a lot of patience for something that might go no where. I’m not in a rush for any kind of relationship so this gives me some flexibility , I suppose.

****We met up today but I kept it very normal like how we used to be when we were friends. We mostly played basket ball. Talked a bit. But normally. It went well was more natural & he did not weirdly randomly try to kiss or hug me —which in this case is a good thing 😊😊

So I don't know basically we see each other on Wednesday’s. I don't know if it will turn into full fledge dating. I’m not exactly in the right space for that but as for how things are as of now, it’s good. So maybe down the line. We’ll see.

I am not nor was I so much worried the guy is not honest it was more to see what other people thought bc my friend who is very observant normally, thought he was dishonest or will be trouble in future.

…. In my opinion initially he was acting unnatural and he probably is somewhere inbetween the first date where he presented as very traditionally and the second where he implied very loose character.

After a transwoman whined that they can't get a date and are 'getting desperate.' They said it's transphobic for men/lesbians to put no transwomen on their dating profiles. I said its not transphobic and it's because they don't want dick - that hardly any 'cishet' men or lesbians would date a transwoman. Someone told me I am 'stupid' because 'CISHET men would date a transwoman because they see a woman first, not what's between their legs.' Said I 'need to get in check with reality.'

I was chatting with my roommate and she was telling me about these sites or apps that she's gone on to chat with guys such as meetup tagged and plenty of fish. At first I wasn't sure what she was looking for so I listened and I laughed at some of the messages she got and I shut my eyes @ some of the pictures she received oh boy! 😳🙈 Which to those she thankfully chewed them out! 😠

and finally I asked her "why are people on these apps? what are you hoping to gain?" in actuality I wanted to ask are you looking for a hookup or a date? not that I thought my friend was looking for a hookup but more because the responses she was getting from the guys. They seemed more interested in looking for a hookup... Anyhow her response was "I don't know just looking to talk... Get comfortable enough to meet with someone... Hopefully nice"...

I responded "yeah but is it me or do most of them just want hookups?"

To which she shrugged and said "well how else do we do this how else do we meet up with people?"

Sadly I can't say. Dating or getting to know someone now a days seems to have become so complicated.

So what are these site for? What other apps or sites are there? And what are they for?

I get eHarmony and match. com that's obvious they're looking for marriages but is it okay to look on eHarmony and you're not looking for marriages or romantic or a hookup?

• 3 And for the hell of it since we are on the subject where do you look if you do want just to hook up?

Recently a guy asked me out, of course I want to look my best but I am not sure whether I should do a full makeup (foundation included) or stay true to myself, to what I usually do (eyeliner, mascara, lipstick at most).
