How to be a professor's favorite student? do they like students who frequently visit office hours to talk about academic topics?

I can tell you from experience, the more you interact with them, the more they will remember you and yes office hours are the best way. Go see them during office. hours and by doing so it has two benefits. One, they will remember your name and face, so at the end of the semester if you are borderline, they could bump up your grade. The second benfit is that they can write you recommendation letter for postgraduate school or fora job. Its amazing how many students dont interact with professors enough.

yeah do that. u can be a favourite one too if u just google up on google scholar what articles he has recently published. tell then u read it and liked it etc. u can also talk about ur assignments and stuff. some professors have hobbies maybe try to dug them up. some want help with tech or want a TA. most r narcissists :p
