What are signs that a professor favors students?

We have an exam coming up next week on Friday. Two exchange students explained that they couldn’t attend because they were leaving the country that day. To meet their availability, the professor asked the whole class via mail if they would accept to reschedule the exam to Wednesday. In the end the professor told us that the exam would not be rescheduled because many students didn’t have time on Wednesday which I know is not true because I spoke with them and only one student was against it. Now the two exchange students are going to fail the class because one student voted against rescheduling. Is this a sign that the professor favors or likes the student who voted against rescheduling?

It's more a sign he does not care. Most professors don't care or want to!

They get so many students with issues or who won't care themselves so Thier desire to help ends also.

Actually I think he usually cares a lot. When I missing class due to illness he asked other students about me even though I informed him about my illness prior to the class. He also likes to give us Life advice
