Taking off your clothes for another person's visual pleasure and doing sexually nude or provocative things is an intimate act. To me that is for the one special person in your life... your mate/spouse etc.
Anyone who does that for money... for strangers is disgusting to me. I'll never respect them. I'm rather surprised anyone would ever date them ever or ever consider that person as a romantic partner.
Their values are horribly low to me. As a potential mate, girlfriend or wife to me they are untouchable.
Because there is a stigma that if you are doing anything sexual as a woman than it automatically makes you a slut or whore that has no self respect and sell your body for attention or money. even if your not one of these thing females these days who show some skin or enjoy sex or have a lot of sex or even talk about sex frequently are automatically hoes when I don't feel this is true hell some strippers don't even wanna be strippers but it's just the quickest and easiest way to make money for them in a short amount of time but no one cares about those things they just see the action and what the funny part is some of these stripper so go on to do some successful career jobs he'll just look at Cardi b stripper turned international sensation. I personally don't care if you are a stripper or prostitute as long as me and the girl actually make a connection I've never been one to Judy some based on there job or there past or on things other than there personality and how me and that person connect it just don't think it's right cause I know if it we're me then I wouldn't like that either. But many say you shouldn't try to change these kinds of women and that's true to an extent many don't want to be changed but I'd say those are the ones that don't feel they need your help hell if she felt she needed your help she probably wouldn't be in the strip club so don't try and change anyone but if you too grow close for whatever reason and u feel she can do bigger and better things and she's is willing than help her out. but generally i'd say they are looked down upon because they aren't really using anything other than their sexuality to earn a living. plenty of people find it immoral. plenty find it nothing btu sexual objectification. i'm sure for many it bothers them that often times strippers are pleasing people who are otherwise in committed relationships and shouldn't be indulging in such vices.

Because we generally think the topic of sex should be kept taboo and somebody who boasts about them being involved in the sex industry, isn't supposed to be respected.

i've met some strippers that were cool. i've met some playmates that were very down to earth. i've video chatted with a pornstar and she was awesome. i respect them because they made an effort to earn respect.
It is just a job. No one is forcing them to do it and no one is forcing anyone to go and watch them. I have more respect for the strippers than the people that watch and throw money at them for hours.

Because of what they do. There's certain type of jobs some people consider immoral and therefore they don't respect the person that works as that. Those who do not find it immoral, do respect the person.

If they want to do it for the money, it is for a living as well. As long as they stay away from drugs and prostitution, I have no problem with a lady stripping. I respect them for the person they are and not what they do.
And what is the average wage slave doing, going to his/her dead end 9-5, or even those who are a little higher up and looking for an even bigger pay rise? Employees lick ass and suck dick (literally and proverbially) *much* more than strippers and hookers. I'm not saying that prostitutes aren't whores, it's just that at least they're far more honest about their intentions than your average Joe... And I'd say that average Joe's are the much bigger whores.

Let me repeat in simple terms; prostitutes *are whores*, but so are most ordinary people to varying degrees, difference being is that normal people are judgmental hypocrites who lack introspection. At least prostitutes are what they say they are on the tin.
