Nothing. How does being trans have anything to do with someone being a teacher?

I don't see what difference that would make.
Nothing. I don't give a shit if the teacher, mine or my kid's, is trans
I wouldn't really care, just think of them like any other person.

If education were fully privatized, even the bigots among us would have no cause for concern. Indoctrination would be a non-issue, because each individual school would adopt its own policy, the market would require them to be transparent about their policies, and everyone would be free to choose whatever school practiced the policies it favored.
So if I had a kid, and education was privatized, my kid would be attending a school that teaches straight from the textbook, purely academically, and fastidiously neutrally, and that has an established record of firing teachers on the spot for so much as mentioning politics or religion. And before people hurl accusations at me, I would not enroll my kid in a school that taught with minarchist capitalist biases (my ideology of choice), let alone adjacent ideologies like classical liberalism, either. I mean it when I say NEUTRAL.
But unfortunately, public schools are beholden to nothing and nobody, because they receive unconditional funds that are forcibly acquired via taxation. So, under our current system, I would have my reservations about my kid having a trans teacher. And I'm sure most of anyone right-of-center would agree with me on all of this.
So in a strange, indirect way, privatizing education is actually in the best interest of trans teachers looking for jobs. Chew on that.I really wouldn't care. I would actually be happy: If I ever was to have a child who was Trans, I would feel reassured to know that he won't feel alone in his class, and that he has strong people around him such as his teacher to support him. All that I care about is if the teacher loves what he/she does, if he's qualified for his job, and if he cares about his students.
Thinking about it if he is so mentally ill that he's acting out imitating the opposite sex in public i'd get my child away from that person. I would probably drop the class as well if I could. First off the man is disturbing the peace by doing what he's doing. Second I'm taking advantage of someone who is very sick and needs to be in an institution. I'm not going to sit there and make it worse by pretending everything is normal when it's not. The guy is probably going to die eventually from chopping up his body or taking carcinogenic hormones to begin with and I'll be contributing to that.
Hypothetically: I'd 'have an eye on' that teacher. One indication of manipulating my kid into a direction of thinking that I don't agree to... and there will be a tsunami.
Otherwise I'm ok with it.
Myself, back then: I guess, I would not have respected that teacher at all; in fact, I respected only few teachers anyway :D... these were different days.
I remember that once 'we' collectively drove out a teacher who was unacceptable in our eyes - that wasn't related to his sexuality though.
Sorry to say it: but it's not important in such cases how the individual feels, but how this person is accepted and integrated in his/her local social environment.
It may work 'here' - and it may fail 'there'.Nothing. As long as the teacher is a good and fair educator then why should I care what they identify as?
I wouldn’t do anything. Them being trans doesn’t mean they’re not providing children with an education. As long as they’re doing their job that it doesn’t bother me.
Well, my history teacher was gay and that never turned me gay lol...
I'd be fine with this as long as they keep their gender identity talk out of the classroom. Keep that shit to yourselfI am not too crazy about this whole trans thing but I guess there are many different teachers that are liberal or conservative or may be gay or lesbian. If the teacher is teaching to the curriculum and keeps their private life to themselves then it does not make a difference.
I wouldn’t care at all as long as they teach me/my child what I/they need to know.
I don't mind someone's sexual preference or orientation. Professions and teaching quality are only considerable for me.
Why would that matter, if they were a good teacher, and my child liked them as their teacher?
Are they a qualified teacher? That's what matters to me.
It would be a source of embarrassment for me; I would take the child out of his class or the school if the teacher made my child uncomfortable!
Nothing, though I don't think they would bluntly say they are trans to any children
It depends on what that person is teaching.. If they are pushing that agenda in school I would take my child out of that school..
Gender dysphoria is a mental illness and should be treated as such so I would definitely have to relocate my child to a different achool
I dont think trans people should be allowed teach children.
I wouldn’t give two shits honestly
Why would that even matter?
As long as they teach what they should be teaching and don't waste the child's time talking about trans issues I don't see any problems with that.
