I own the business, so when I first started the simple answer would be "yes" LOL!
I got better with respecting my personal time, making me more efficient with work time. I keep it a solid 8 hours a day and 5 day work week. I might work beyond that, but I never tell the clients this.
I only work Saturdays if the event we're hired to shoot or film, takes place on Saturday. If employees are working it, I come in and work too.11 Reply- +1 y
That is incredible of you. Very wise and looking after you is very important when being on self employed. Great!!

Ended up working 65 hours this week (today is thankfully my Friday)
But only work 39 hours next week and have 3 days off after today 🤗

Absolutely, being a full time parent its the toughest job ever its a 24/7 days a week and 365 days a year, and you get no vacation, no sick leave, no time to me time, and the list keeps going... then for you to go back to your regular job later on... its a bigggg job from everyone. And low on money too. So you deserve the MHO!!

Right now I get to work at 7:30am and leave at 3pm.
The work load is really low right now so in 7 hours of "work" I'm only really working for about 30 minutes of it. Whats sad is this job is the one which has paid me the most (30/hr) and I am doing the least amount of "work" I have ever done.
The higher up the ladder the easier it gets. :/13 Reply- +1 y
Aww... well keep working up the ladder, you can do it!! Got faith on you. 😉😊😃

I work as much as I want to at this point, but choose to work most of the day. If you're generating high W2 income, I'd suggest that you invest into real estate and own some rentals. It would supplement your income in a much more tax-efficient way. It will also free you up so that you're not so overworked. Plus equity and appreciation utilizing leverage would give a much higher return than the stock market. Just a thought.

Thank you for a example of kindness goodness beautifuness
On average 8 hours. But that can fluctuate a lot, because a lot of my work is project and research related. Also if I'm bored or having issues getting to sleep or staying asleep, I'm jumping right back into work. So that 8 hour day can quickly jump.

It all depends whether i have clients or not. When i do, i work long hours and straight days in a row until i can find what they are looking for, but when i don't have clients, i work a lot less and spend most of the time prospecting for new clients. The average work hour for me varies month to month but if i average it out, it'll be somewhere between 4-5 hours daily.

Generally 7 or 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (probably 95% of the time). Sometimes I get overtime on the weekends (like the past month) and sometimes my entire overall schedule can be wonky, like when I'm working at a specific location on setups or takedowns for temporary special events.
