Today I earned my “Aspiring Philosopher” badge. 🤓
Does anyone else on G@G use Grammarly?

Does it make you cringe when you read awful English grammar? There are lots of those here in the GAG community. Some are so bad that they don't make sense.
Depends. If it’s English as a second language or auto correct no. Some is cringe tho. <I use that abbreviation on purpose. 😂
I used to use it before I joined G@G. Im not a fan of that though. Its so damn hard to type on that. Im better off using autocorrect 😂
Ohhhh autocorrect has screwed me many a time.
No I don't use Grammarly, and you're the first person I've heard that uses it. Glad it helps. I'm tired of seeing all the Grammarly ads in YouTube videos.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the mho.
I do - my typing sucks and Grammarly is faster than going back and picking out my errors since it flags spelling errors very prominently.
Exactly! I love that about it. It works in word, my proj mgmt system, Constant Contact, wherever I am.

I've never used it, but am curious to see how it works. Is it free? Is it software you install on your computer? If so, I'd be worried they are tracking what I type somehow.
Yup! Free. I dunno. Big brother prolly tracks the whole internet.
Either! No ads. They try to convince you to buy premium by telling you there are other things wrong
Yes. It catches more grammatical errors and also senses the tone of your piece.
no because its American and im English so its often grammatically incorrect
Fair enough lol
I don't use Grammarly. I take time but my sentences have always been fairly grammatically correct.
'Aspiring philosopher' seems a good to have badge. Congrats! More badges are definitely on the way!
I might use it if I need to one day, maybe when my book is published.
It’s a great tool. Just watch out for word misusage like sliver instead of silver. It doesn’t catch those.
My friend uses beta readers for her book but I don’t trust other people to be faithful to what I have written
You have to ask for a straight proof with track changes so you can reject.
Oh okay
No, I'm fairly happy with my grammar and when I'm not it's specific things like effect vs affect or past vs passed. Google corrects 99% of what I fuck up and when it doesn't it's not like anyone notices anyway.
We used to use it at work, but I got tired of correcting its corrections lol
Ha! Yes. It is not the be all end all. For sure.
Used Languagetool for a while, i dislike using accounts for that kind of stuff.
We were forced to use it in college. Slick got on my nerves
I used to but not anymore.
I will seek help from my English teacher if needed
yes I do quite often, my spelling isn't that good
I’ve struggled with my spelling since I was a kid too
No, I use a Firefox add-on which does pretty much the same thing.
Yup, it helps with punctuation.
Indeed it does!
not me thats why my English isn't that good lol
Lol!
I've never heard of such a thing!
My bad grammar is all me. I never heard of yours
No, I have seen it advertised but never used it.
This is the first I have heard of it.
I have not used it. I didn't know it existed
Me and it works great
I have a built in grammar checker :) .
Your brain? Lol
Yes, because I was taught well and English grammar was something that stuck with me. Now chemistry, that's another thing. I'm just lost there. LOL
We all have our strengths. :)
