How do universities look at your senior year gpa, or do they not look at all?

how do they see your senior year gpa if the application process begins in the begining of the semester year?

Acceptance or rejection is based on your sophomore, junior and first half of senior year, as some high schools don't have freshman, and acceptance letters are sent out before you have your final senior grades. They have the option to withdraw their acceptance if you do poorly on your final senior report card.

is it a good impact if my grades get better over time? i personally didn't have any goals when i started highschool then i had some goals and started working harder, got better grades. would that matter to them? or is me getting bad grades at the start destroy everything my gpa right now is 3.5 as an international student

It depends on the university. Some look only at the overall GPA, and others take other factors into consideration. It's always a good idea to be noticed by people who have some influence on your future.

Memory challenges run in my family, so it hasn't been easy to keep the grades up in non-major classes. This resulted in my son having a 3.5 GPA when he applied to grad school. Every college he applied to rejected him. Then the dean of his college approached him and said "I know you want a different experience elsewhere, but if you agree to get your masters here, we'll provide you with a full-ride scholarship, a paid research position and a paid teaching position." Not that he had other options to choose from, but he did appreciate that his ability was noticed. I can guaranty my son has far exceeded the accomplishments of the vast majority of the students accepted into the programs he was rejected from. At 31, his annual income is 4 times what I make.

All colleges & universities have there own standards & policies for their admissions process.
Your GPA cum along with SAT / ACT scores are all considered when applying for admission to a school.
Most schools will make an admissions decision based upon your previous academic work and when you finish high school a copy of your 'final transcripts' are sent to the school.

Short of failing i dont think its the end of the world unless you have one specific college you're trying to go to. They generally take anyone in these days providing you're willing to pay a ton of money and borrow whatever is needed to pay.
