Would you take a job offering 50k?

Only if that's base pay starting salary & they give me housing allowance, great health insurance, and an adequate amount of leave per year.
I have to enjoy the job as well.
Yeah that's base
Who the hell offers housing allowance
We talking about regular jobs not contractors
R u retarded no one offers housing allowance
What u from ghetto

I may likely take that salary as it would be a nice starting salary for me. However, it depends on the job and what it entails.
If it was something I would like to do and it did not involve a long commute I would.
Whats your job
No. My pension is double that amount, so I'm not coming out of retirement.
What's ur job
Six figures
I have nothing to hide. My salary was $175,000 per year plus perks such as a car $400 per month car allowance, which was taxable income but did not apply to my covered pension earnings. I took an early retirement offer and left with a pension of 60% (rather than the 66% I had planned on). 60% of $175,000... you can do the math.
It sounds like a big salary, and it was, but it took me 25 years to get there, as well as a Batchlor of Science degree and a Master of Engineering degree. Nothing comes easy, or at least it didn't for me.
@notwoke I was reluctant, in fact nervous about the early retirement, but it turned out great. I left in 2013 and took several long vacations, included a 6 week trip from Sydney to Hoing Kong in 2019. What I could not foresee is COVID ruing all of my plans for more trips.
As for struggles? none of speak of. I sold my home in SoCal and bought a bigger one here in Florida which has no mortgage. I spend my days on the golf course or at the shooting range, or just taking it easy. I can't complain.
thank you so much for the insight, if you don't mind me continuing to pester you. I see many of the engineers that I work with returning on a contract basis, almost begging to come back after they retire because they have "nothing to do". Or I see them in town doing menial jobs for low pay when i know they can't possibly need the money. Any guesses?

Right now, I'd take a job offering minimum wage, as long as it's a job I like doing.
