How would I know they're not just bullsh*tting me? What if it's a prank? Or a troll? Is there some kind of guarantee involved that I'd get the hundred thousand dollars?
Either way, I'd probably say Yes if it's real and was guaranteed. I'm valuable to my job, but no one is irreplaceable. I could even give each co-worker $1,000 each, as an apology and still have plenty left over.
Otherwise, I'd say no, as I'm a teacher and we're understaffed so I would need to give them at least 30 days notice, as the right and ethical thing to do.
No. A hundred grand isn't much money. It's nowhere near enough to retire. It's not enough at my age and it's sure as heck not enough for someone young.
A million is enough for someone young to retire, but only if they are careful with it and don't go nuts spending it. For someone young to retire on a million, they have to not touch the million and only live on the income - even then they should not spend all the income and save some of it.
Sure, I'd put in my two weeks notice, wait a couple weeks then either go back to my job (they'd take me back in a heart beat) or get another job, and be $100,000 richer which I'd invest for a rainy day..
Getting your old job back is just sneaky :P... Mind you.. I'm self employed so shhhhh
@TommyMountainFigure so see you could quit, get the money, then rehire yourself, 🤣
Yeah but shhhh I'm on a right earner 'ere <<Said in a cockney accent :P
Its not enough so probably not. Maybe if I was old and retired
I would laugh in the person’s face if they offered me 100k however for a 100m I would talk as well.

Yeah. I could use that money to clear off my student loans. Then, I can job hunt again. I’ve been hired by multiple companies during the pandemic so I know my resume and work experience is solid. Job hunting will be a minor inconvenience in exchange for having all my debt paid off. 🤙
If you were given money and chose to quit, that's stupid.
If you were given money on the condition you quit, that's two and a half years worth of money to cover your search for a better job.
I would quit, get the money, and then come right around to my job and explain how I got money for quitting and donate like $500 to a couple charities of their choice or something
Hell, no!! That wouldn't last me all that long and I'd have to get find another job within a couple years.
That is not even 2 years wages so no I would not quit my job.
I'm always up for an experiment.. hand me the dosh and let's see shall we? :D
I am retired, but when I was working there was no way I'd quit my job for $100K.
That's not enough. Not at all enough. 100 Million would be a more tempting offer.
@MCheetah Still not enough.
@MCheetah But nice try!
I am only planning on working for another year or two so yes, I would quit.
Hell yeah!! I could live off of 100 grand for at least 5 years! Maybe 10.
I could probably even start my own company.
That'd be great, I could just skip to starting up a business of my own.
Sure I'd just come back in a week with pizza and all would be good
I would because I know what to do with that much mon
$/£ 100k? No I wouldn't.
Same here & I wouldn’t quit for a million as well.
100k is peanuts nowadays however I’m sure someone will take the offer.
im not a slave like you idiots
so I do not need money
if you had asked me when I was 20 years old... I could have said yes, probably, lol
I'm not sure. It would depend on whether or not I actually liked the job I was doing at the time.
If I could find another suitable job, yes UNLESS I like my job a lot.
I only have a year left, so I'd take it 🤗
Really, that’s a bad Quarter Income.
Nope, no way near enough
Missing about three zeros.
No, I'd funnel it into growing my work.
no, that's not enough money to be worth it
Ugh, I can’t, diabetes
Yes i would and i will start my career with that.
Absolutely not.
No because I make more than that a year so no
Not enough money
Yes I would
