What else should I do about this leaky faucet at work?

I recently started a job at a company that goes around and cleans different businesses. I was with my supervisor at a bank and in the janators closet there is one of those large sinks that are in the ground in the corner of the room. When I went to fill my mop bucket up water sprayed everywhere from the faucet. Most of it sprayed on a wooden shelf and some books next to it. Im afraid of mold growing if it hasn't already. I told my supervisor that we should get it fixed because it could cause mold growth. He said okay then he wrote it down in a binder in the janators closet that people are supposed to read. I don't know who. Should I report it to someone else or just hope someone reads the note and it gets fixed?
