Do you consider a writing career to be a real job?

Sure- just ask Terri Blackstock, Christian fiction writer. In 9 book series, together with 9 stand-alone books, she wrote 43 titles (that I could find) in 23 years. Sounds like a real job to me.
Thanks for the MHO
Who cares. If you enjoy it and profit from it then its as real of a job as any in the world.

If God told you to do it and you’ve begun, keep going.
If you enjoy your job that’s all that matters. As long as you don’t whine and complain about how we need socialism, I’m totally cool with whatever you do for a living
Be careless about what people says sweetie it's your life do what makes you feel good even if it's a mistake
if it entails a paycheck then yes,.
