Why are 20s so sad and lonely?

I'm about to hit mid 20s and life has been damn lonely till now. I think teenage was better than this. No one gives a flying f about your life , added responsibilities pile up.
Relationships have been one shitty loop with similar pattern, career is freaking competitive. Would this end at all? Is this the new normal? What do you people think. How long does an average person struggle in 20s?

Its only a struggle if you continue to consider it a struggle. I for one personally don't care for relationships anymore. I can focus on myself, the book I'm writing, my job and other hobbies and things that make me happy. I don't have to worry about taking care of/supporting anyone but myself. I don't see how that's a struggle.
