Is that true that books can be our best friend?

Absolutely! It’s my escapism from the real world. Also, it’s like my trauma response to talking to myself because apparently because I feel like I’m the only person I can trust with a conversation because if I have a conversation they can use my words as ammunition or in another situation I was hurt and I had to comfort and soothe myself because no one else could.
I used to view books as gateways to another world
Since depression flared everything up, I can't even read them anymore
Totally! When I couldn't see my friends, my books and my dog were the things that got me through quarantine.
A few recommendations: Beak of the Finch, The Dog Who Came in From the Cold, Chore Whore (dw it's a witty pro-fem story ;D ), The Line of Beauty, and The Last Crusader.
What are y'all reading right now? I'm halfway through The Last Cruasader.
I just start ' power of thinking big'
Oo! What it's about?
Wait, sorry, I can just look it up lmao. *what did you like about it?
DOUBLE SORRY. I just realized you said you were just starting it omg. I must be tired.
Yes books have became my Bestie this year. I’ve always hated reading but now I really enjoy it (audiobooks). I’ve learned so much since I’ve been reading and my mind has been on all kinds of adventures. I’m about to have a cup of decaf coffee and enjoy a god read now! 😋

I love to but sometimes it can be a distraction too. You need to find a balance thats all and also not live by the quotes.
