I Love books! I had so many stored at the very top of my shelves in my basement we used a step mini ladder to reach them. I had set up a reading spot for the kids. Sadly about a year ago we had one of our worst floods not even our highest shelves were safe we lost just about everything in the basement including the books.
My saddest issue is the space. Now that nothing even high up is safe in the basement it leaves us with very little storage upstairs
But I keep what I can where I can
I have kept a basket full of books by the tub to read. When my kids were younger we would sit in a bubble bath and read 2 chapters or more together. My kids each have shelves in their rooms full of books. My books are in the hall but I haven't had much grown up reading time. I'm helping my son with his reading. Currently we are reading because of win Dixie Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and we are considering the book called Blended.
To make up for the lack of space I pay for my kids and I to have An Amazon Kindle and audible account (I don't really like audible because it has no words 🙄 but it has come in handy once in the while). We also have a library account and a Libby account. I also go to sites where people post their own stories and we can read them for free.
I currently have 95 books in my Kindle library. There's 3 books on my wishlist and currently 2 in audible.

Ps 🤣 @KrakenAttackin you blew my mind and had me LMAO when I read "moved the wife out, more books in..." Hmmm 🤔 move the spouse out... Make more space for books... Tempting though I suppose I could just buy a nice sheds from home Depot 😃

You know for the SPOUSE
DUH 🙄... 🤣
Just kidding 😊... maybe 😏
Not true.. we have small and big bookshelves every room at our home. Not in kitchen, bathroom and toilets..
Well for the most part books are good, but typically it’s the history books I hate.
If the white guys caught the native americans sleeping and killed them all, it was a great victory. If they did it to us, it was a massacre.
Christopher Columbus being a piece of shit and incompetent. Segments from his journal show him admitting to slaving the natives. They had games to see who could cut off limbs in one swing, heads in one swing, who could disembowel with one axe blow.
White people stealing land from Mexico because fuck it, we’re Americans, we do no wrong
@blissinanarchy1. Dude, you are a self-hating, woke, useful idiot, indoctrinated, fool.
I don’t hate myself. I’m fine being white, and am glad I’m white. I don’t got to worry about the shit black people do. You’re the one indoctrinated. You worship that orange baboon like a fucking god who does no wrong. He lies to you and you stay in his cult. Easier to fool a man than to convince a man he was fooled though.
I love books. I read a lot. But you CAN have too many. They take up room. They can accumulate like old newspapers.
I actually have quite a few books that I want to hang onto for reference. But I tend to get rid of most after I have read them. I give them away or donate them to the library

I am an avid reader but I kept all the books I ever used in all my college courses. They take up a whole bookcase and I never look at them after I took the course., I recently donated them to one of those book drops.
True, but word to the wise. Buying books and reading them are two entirely different hobbies.
A question is always followed by a question as they say & as for me I have to ask.
Are we talking about printed books or digital books?
I prefer online books for free cuz it's a waste of money buying books since you're only going to read them once and put them away
But, can you re-read them all if you've got thousands of them? I had hundreds of them and never even got the chance to read half of them!!
Just digitalize the books UNLESS it is a book teaching you something in which you have to apply the material. That book should be read over and over and over for years.
False. it is possible to have so many that your entire wealth cannot pay for the storage space necessary.
well that's just false. They can take up your entire living space and that's just "too many".
True to a point - then, like me, you will need a Kindle.
you could have too many books but it would be a very high number
As the person who has to keep books organized in the house, you definitely have too many once you lose free space for them.
Disagree, books are essential. When you run out of space, other things need to go.
@LazerBean. ... moved the wife out, more books in...
I love ❤️ to read

My office used to be so full that there was a path from the door to my desk. My dad was the same way. One day it was too much.
I cleaned and painted my office and hung up all my pictures and then took a full month to sort through every single book I had,
I organized my bookshelves. Stored about 4 footlockers full of books that noone was going to make me give away.
Then I took 30 bags of books to the local used book store so I could get some credit towards other books in the future.
Now I have to resist buying more daily.
True, I love reading.
Probably true
False.. look at hoarders, they fill entire rooms
False, I don’t have the room for too many books 😭
Anon... Being an OF model doesn't require many books anyway.
What?
I meant that I love reading, if I had the space for more books then I’d have as many as I possibly could. But I don’t have the space for many books so I often have to donate the books that I have read to buy more books. Not sure why you had to come at me with a sexist comment over books?
Totally!
