Hey there, I'm a third year law student, and I'm just wondering what different jobs people with a law degree managed to get, and how you enjoy it!

I'm not a lawyer, but I'm studying law at Uni too and tbh law degree seems to offer a lot of opportunities.
I'm looking forward to people's answers 😆
Oh cool! What year are you? It really does, I feel like a job that's not directly legal but that you can get with a law degree would be useful too, because you can't practice law in all countries. Hopefully people reply 🤞
I'm in the first year. Exactly, you don't even have to be in court because there are a lot of other amazing positions and jobs. Like every company needs a lawyer, then schools, but also taking part in rewriting/creating statutes and laws...
Is there any field of law that you are especially interested in? 😊
Oh cool! I'm third year so getting there slowly. For sure so many options! I've enjoyed criminal law, but I don't think it pays the best. Watching a lot of court at the moment so litigation could be fun although stereotypical. I think the nice thing is you can try out many jobs and see what sticks.
That's amazing! I have criminal law only next year. I think it's divided into two subjects here - Criminal Law (third semester) and Criminal Procedural Law (in the fourth semester).
I think it's best to try out a few things and decide what you like the most if you are still not sure. I'd like to do specialisation in Human Rights after Uni, but we'll see 😅
