What do you all think?
Are there masculine and feminine careers?

What do you all think?
Sort of. There are absolutely careers where more men or women work and where women or men do better.
Outside of the typical construction vs care and service. There are also some where we can see actual performance differece such as sales tending to be dominated by men and women being noticably A LOT better at being event managers (averaging about twice the pay!).
Of course there is also value in being the person going against the norm. Policing was heavily male when I was a kid but women in the force has proven to be a great asset. Especially in terms of acuqiring clues and the trust and willingness of witnesses.
Whether something is masculine or feminine is all subjective, the only thing you can say is that there are some careers that more women tend to go into and some careers more men tend to go into.
Are there careers that are typically more dominated by a certain gender? Yes, no doubt. I'm in a field that is typically female dominated.
But does that make the job any more or less masculine or feminine? Nope.
Yes there are jobs which only men or women could master but this doesn't makes the job Masculine or Feminine. Everyone can do every job if trained that way.
