What jobs do you consider masculine?

Cops, firefighters, military, lineman, loggers, constitution, most trades and anything that is strength based. Leadership positions are arguably masculine, but not necessarily in my opinion. Women do just fine in leadership positions if they aren't the jealous or insecure type.
Lumber jack
Steel worker
Iron worker (skyscraper construction)
(American) Football
Lots more.
Some women might be able to do those jobs but I doubt if many can.
Masculine jobs are those that require strength, power, stamina, grit, and perseverance.
Given where deserved friend 😁

Why should any job be masculine or feminine? We live in a free economy where people specialize their skills. That is what economics is. It is the division of labor and specialization which makes the economy grow.
You no longer have to make your own clothes or grow your own food, someone else can do it for cheaper and more efficiently.
So what if men work more of one type of job and women another? We specialize where our skills are and where our own natural abilities lie.
Men are bigger and stronger than women. So men work jobs that require muscle and strength that women just don't have.
So that makes it a masculine job? Why? Because it would turn women on to know her man has a job that requires things she cannot do? So sexuality is the ultimate reference for all things? If someone can get horny about the fact that their SO has a certain type of job that makes the job masculine or feminine?
And why does it matter? Why are we so concerned about who is doing what? In a free society where people work and apply their talents in whatever way they can.
That's the only thing that matters to me. Free society free people. The rest is nonsense.
I think you approached this question from a societal view and ignore the natural view. Nature has clearly designed males and females to have different physiologies, strengths and weaknesses. Whether or not a certain society has certain beliefs has no bearing on natural design.
Men and women are not the same, have different strengths or weaknesses as a result of nature and are therefore obviously suited better for different kinds of jobs. To ignore this is to deny the reality of nature.
Nature doesn't care about equality and fairness. It cares about the survival of the species. We ignore and deny it at our own peril.
@RingOfFire Thank you for a reasonable answer. Getting tired of explaining rudimental biological facts whenever a "wah wah why should" type pops up.
Are you guys literally retarded? I addressed the arguments you have repeated in my original comment.
It's as if you both literally didn't read my comment at all. You can't be that braindead. You can't be that fucking stupid. Or am I just some kind of mega genius and I'm dealing with apes?
@liggang None of the above. You yourself are braindead.
None of what you said made any sense whatsoever.
"Men are bigger and stronger than women. So men work jobs that require muscle and strength that women just don't have."
Then you proceed to contradict what you just said and say
"So that makes it a masculine job? Why? Because it would turn women on to know her man has a job that requires things she cannot do? Sexuality is the ultimate reference for all things? If someone can get horny about the fact that their SO has a certain type of job that makes the job masculine or feminine?"
That was the biggest amount of word vomit I've read in a fair bit. No one was saying anything about turning anyone on getting anyone horny. Masculinity and femininity don't imply that in every scenario.
And by definition, jobs that men can do better than women in general ARE considered masculine and vice-versa.
"Why are we so concerned about who is doing what? In a free society where people work and apply their talents in whatever way they can."
No one's saying you can't choose to do whatever job you want to do, but just as you can choose to be an OnlyFans model or tax collector doesn't mean, people will inevitably judge you. Some jobs are more attractive than others. Some are considered more masculine and others more feminine. No one cares if that offends you.
@HawkPerception Exactly. Well said.
Cleaning the horrible gutters on the roof — and other advanced handy stuff along those lines. (Yeees, I know “women could learn to do that stuff” but personally I know I’m miserable at all that.)
Also, while it’s a massive stereotype, I could’ve been knocked over with a feather the first time I saw a female truck driver. She was a try bitty little thing who hopped out of the cab and barely came up to my shoulder. I laughed and said “go girl” and fist bumped her… she probably gets that a lot….
Those that demand masculine traits.. and are (not) coincidentally male dominated
Combat military (And martyrs) , Special forces, police, fireforce, construction, bricklaying , oil rig.. and so many more
Considering the recent events.. I might add.. Secret Service
Debt collector!
But only because I don't think people who borrow money consider a woman to be intimidating enough!
That isn't to say she couldn't be!
Basically any job that is physically demanding, inherently dangerous, or requires logic-based reasoning.
- executioner
- 2nd hand car dealer
- and my favourite: cat herding
https://www.youtube.com/embed/m_MaJDK3VNEIf I had to summarize I'd have to say anything that involves the physical protection of others, or some kind of extreme competitive aggression is suited to men's natural role in the human society and therefore masculine in nature.
I don't think jobs really have a gender anymore but I'd say
If I wore a dress, anything I'd get dirty with or required physical hard work
I say this knowing that many women do this willingly which again is why I say, jobs don't have a gender much anymore
I'll even say that there are probably quite a few women that are stronger, more sweaty and have more dirt on them from a job than I do
Jobs that require physical strength or emotional control.
Feminine jobs are jobs that require emotional intelligence, nurturing, child care, and/or fine motor skills.
Street construction (though about five years back, a saw a black barrel woman in a street construction crew), railroad work, private security, soldier, cop, etc.
I don’t see jobs as masculine or feminine. It is just whether or not they want to do them. I do maintenance work and while there are not a lot of females doing maintenance there are a few. Very few women want to replace old toilets and very few men want to sit at a desk and answer phones all day. Both men and women can do both jobs if they want to….
Jobs are concepts and do not have gender.
And people think queer folks are mental. 🤣
Straights insist on gendering things that don't even experience gender, lmao.
You don't understand the term concept love. A job is concrete, not abstract, and needs doing. And different jobs demand different physiological and psychological traits of us, which differs on the general between men and women.
Doctor, professor , construction worker, accountant, banker
none... people choose jobs matching their preferences, not their gender...
Wrestling. Real wrestling like Dwayne The Rock Johnson
Sports, Construction. Firefighters police work. Event Staff. And so much more
Anything requiring a certain amount of physical strength, and also sometimes leadership roles.
Construction, police / military, athletes...
I don't consider jobs to be masculine or feminine, they are just jobs/tasks that can be completed by anyone who is up for the challenge.
None. In my opinion, and I know that many people on here will disagree with me, jobs have nothing to do with masculinity.
Nothing honestly. This is dumb
Men have more muscle mass, larger muscle fibers, more type 2 (fast twitch) muscle fibers, higher bone density, larger bone size, higher percentage of lean body mass, higher levels of hemoglobin, generally thicker and stronger ligaments, higher metabolic rate, significantly greater upper body strength (30-50% more), thicker skin, and more collagen in their skin (bruises less easily and heals faster from external bruising and cuts).
If you're really going to say this is dumb, maybe do some research on the biological differences between men and women. We are different physically and that's why there's more men in physically strenuous jobs and more women in communication and caretaking fields.
Construction
The Builders.
Sumo Wrestling
Bruh 😂
