I was watching Dave Ramsey show on youtube and he says it's best to pay off debt and to not go on any vacations, do any investments until the debt is paid off. Sounds like you are doing well :)

As for paying your mortgage off it’s a walk in the park & the key word is principal, principal, principal & with an extra payment here & an extra payment there your mortgage will be no more.

When it comes to principal pay what you can & every month based on your other utility bills that amount can change. In addition I’m going to give you another tip when it comes to paying your mortgage. If you are able to do so pay your mortgage two or three months ahead because if you do that you can never be late on a payment & when you do that you are always ahead of the game.

That's not bad at all. Watching the Dave Ramsey on YouTube makes me think if I was in debt I would def be paying that off before making any other investments. I now think about what I need instead of what I want when it comes to buying things. My ultimate goal is to travel a bit more. I hope you get rid of that soon it's the best feeling ever to be debt free

It's not even as good an indicator of success as you may think. Many rich people have large debts and nearly 100% asset allocation. So on paper their paupers but they live in mansions. Meanwhile the average joe who just finished a mortgage thinks he's winning.

Yeah rich people can be in debt too. If I'd be done paying my mortgage I would feel like I'm winning for sure. I would get to travel and be rent free. That's what winning looks like in my eyes but not everyone has to agree with me. This question was more regarding what people are doing to be debt free, because it's the best feeling ever
