How to leave your job for another?

I will ask permission from my Team Lead that I have interview in other department without sounding rude and short. Is this okay. Or can someone help me how to say it?

I'd like to let you know that I have an interview for Analyst role tomorrow. I want to take the chance since it's a good opportunity.

Don't tell your Team Lead you're interviewing.

Just go interview. Book time off for an appointment or something.

If you tell your current employer you're looking, chances are high you'll be shafted at your current position. And it'll get worse if you don't get the job.

Never tell your employer more than they absolutely need to know (which is to say your availability/when you prefer to work, and updates on whatever tasks you're in charge of).

Your employer is never your friend. Treat every employer as they are: a soulless corporation that is exploiting you for the maximum profit for the least pay.

Always cover your ass. Always have an exit plan. Always be searching for a better job. Never tell your employer you're leaving until you submit your notice.

No it is the same company. And the hr ask me to tell my team lead about my application. And yes im afraid it might not go well if I told them. I applied to other department

But do whatever you can to cover your ass and be prepared to face some dislike from your Team Lead.

My demeanor and position is different. I do a time allotment block in email whether remotely or in person status. Knowing where i am every second is not a necessity so I can not comment effectively as your dynamic is different.
