How long did it take you to get used to interviews when you started applying for jobs?

Fake it to you make it is literally what I go by ! every time!. Have the confidence to fail and to get back up again there is always more and better. Don’t be afraid of an interview knocking you down if you think you didn’t get the job what’s really important when you get into the interview is to know your skills for the job already, be prepared before the interview, have some clear ideas of what you’d like to say to their questions. Be confident!! Be confident!! If you are not sure you are confident put on your best act and go for it ! Because you will be so proud of yourself for doing it and not being scared to fail ! And also knowing you walked in there with confidence and bravery. We humans are literally stronger than we think mentally and we mmm instead of thinking negative thoughts literally tell yourself to stop ! And give yourself the best compliments ! You are your own hype girl or man lol you got boo ! Everything will be fine and if all fails do it again and there will be another door open somewhere specially for you ! ✨✨
My education was in Human Resources and I was interviewing for jobs from 16, so I had a lot of practice.
I worked as a career counselor for a while, too. The best advice is just to practice. Get your friends (or older, working relatives) to be mock interviewers.
Practice your answers for common questions, practice your example stories for key skills, and practice questions specific to your industry.
But remember always that an interview is also scary for those on the other side - their hiring decision could make or break the team they're building.
And the purpose of an interview is really getting to know each other. You hold power as well, and it's important to remember that.
I interviewed once for the job, and many times more for promotions. I never got used to the interview process. Years later, when I was the one doing the interviews, I always kept in mind how uncomfortable interviews make some people and I never held their being nervous against them.
The easiest way to avoid nerves is to focus on your qualifications and boast about your achievements, especially those that would make you a perfect fit for the position. Don't neglect seemingly small, but very important details like, "I'm seldom sick and I haven't been late for work in three years."
Good luck.
Never. I hate interviews. The last few weeks I've been looking for a job and it's always annoying, even though I've probably had a hundred interviews going back to HS.
This time around they are all online, so at least deciding what to wear is simpler. But I tend to be a deliberate thinker, not because I think slow but because I think so fast that I need to monitor myself for appropriateness.
The only time I get bummed about a rejection is when it's something I really wanted, which is maybe 1 in 5.

i don't think i ever got used to it. its the worst when you have to go through several interviews for one position and you get all the way to the last one but still end up turning you down.
That said though you should definitely keep it up. you'll get something im sure. if you can somehow get over that you will likely be rejected a lot then the process will be much easier to go through.
Job interviews never bothered me. I did get better at them though. I've moved around so much, job hopped so much, and did so much contract work that I've done probably a hundred or more interviews.
An interview is just talking to another person like I do on a daily basis. Don't put the interviewer on a pedestal. They are just people.
Jobs applications never get to that point for me. Aka why I will probably never have a job which honestly I don't mind, the system is broken if I am to live without a job because of that let it be so.
I never really did interviews...
sort of went with recommendations and "privilege" lol
lucky start, yes... lol
I've always felt quite calm when I went to an interview but I think that's because I secretly didn't want to start work 😂
Lol 😂 I sometimes may feel that way if I decide I actually don't want the job I applied for or if it seems like it's an intro interview where the recruiter or manager tells me about the company and what the company does and just asks me a few questions about my background. I have one of those types of interviews today (it's a job I actually am interested in though).
Only really had two interviews.
both have been fairly random affairs.
One for Air Force and one for my current job.
It takes about 1 month because recruitment process is very long in many companies
If you're applying for well financed company
And for low type companies it takes about 1week
Most of my jobs never required interviews just odd jobs so I never encountered one job was through the School and the other one was cutting people's grass and paper job so yeah
I never got used to interviews. I suck at them to this day.
Good idea!
Once you have enough money to not worry about the next few paychecks.
If you're living paycheck to paycheck it's like life or death and interviewers don't really like that vibe.
When your in your 50s and you don't give a dam if you get the job or not
I just had one today and I was nervous all day about it. So I will say that I never got used to it.
I've never got used to them.
Am still mastering that lol, i won't lie.
never gets easy...
