Any tips for a job interview?

If they ask tell me a bit about yourself. Do not say anything regarding wanting to travel. I was told this question is a bit of a trick employers use to see if the potential candidate plans on sticking it out with the company. Basically this question is another way of them asking about your experiences and qualifications and what you can bring to the company and why you are the right person for the job.

Depending on the type of job, If the job is for a cashier try and wear something similar to what the actual workers wear.

Make sure you do research on the company because some will ask you to tell them what you know about the company.

Study the company and have 3 statistics about it to be able to share with the interviewer. It's easier to remember those and it shows you studied the company. ALWAYS ask questions at the end, and if it's an onsite interview and they ask if you want water always say yes, so you can drink it while thinking of answers, so you don't have to sit there in awkward silence.

Doesn’t matter now they didn’t even know what position I was applying for, only came to light at the end of the interview when I asked specific questions about said position.
