Have you ever had a boss that was empathetic and was at least a caring individual rather than power hungry?

My ex manager was probably one of the most empathetic and caring people I have ever met in the restaurant business.

My current boss is great. She’s understanding of my health conditions and empathetic, understands my limits. Doesn’t push me to work extra hours and doesn’t get angry when I call in sick.

Yes. I've been through several extreme opposites in the boss department lol.
My current boss really overworks themselves but is really a kind, sensitive and caring person. :)

had a job for 20 + years
allways had a boss with a smile
my last one world have his cpffee cup and stop by amd just check in woth us.
he was your boss and like a friend,
and if you had a problem
we go in a litt;e room and talk,

one day i wen't and said i've got to be off for at least
6 months i wen't in and met with
the work family and told then i had to leave the job.
the manament tram sayed get well come back
your job is here and you are not going at all
you dont to worry at all

i had ro have a total knee replacement.
everyweek the lead program tech of my section
would call at least once a week.
and when we had a zoom meeting
notes and pwerpoints would arrive.
and once a month they call for a check
about a month before i returned
the memo said wheelchair peg-leg
crutches 2 hours a day
my covering employees
were swampped.

and my mom passed away
i was at the hosiptal
called my boss.
like an hour later
one of my managers arrived with my leave papers.
