Have you ever had a boss like this?

Have you ever had a boss that pushed the good workers extra hard and allowed the lazy workers to continue to be lazy, even going so far as to imply that the good workers don't do enough? The kind that doesn't care if one person does everything just as long as they (the boss) come out looking good? How did you, or would you handle it?

I've been in several organizations like that. In some situations, the boss really didn't see the truth and those of who worked hard compiled objective evidence and presented the boss with the data. Boss started to lead and manage the lazy people and things changed for the better. Other times, I knew the boss wasn't changing so I transferred to a different department. In other cases, I got a new job and when I left, during my exit interview, I politely and with specific, objective examples explained why I was leaving. Finally, some bosses I was able to train to lead and manage their employees better.

This is my company on a regular. Im not saying Im the best but i actually care about the work i do because im dealing with real customers. i get put in mulitpule departments and hit with all my coworkers problems. my bosses expect me to be a mind reader and know what needs to be done and i basically do their work for them. I realize they rely on me and a couple of others to pick up the slack and work above and beyond. The only thing i can say is im in it for the money and the references. I make a solid resume and when the time comes I can walk away with experience and the know how to deal with people. Its a business and you need to know everyone is in it for themselves. Im a big believer in Karma so I time will come you will see a benefit in what you do over others. Stay humble mate
