Did you ever have a boss who it seemed you couldn't do anytning right?

I did and he threatened to fire me so i quit.

He was a boomer i think. Just showed me some people are just insane. It was as if my very presence was an insult to him or something so be was trying to find any reason to get rid of me. And that was despite him saying I was a nice sweet person. Frankly deep down I started to get the idea he was angry because I didn't respond to him personally in some way he had hoped. I can't say what way that was causs i can't read minds. Something just felt off soon after I startef working there. The initial interviews went fine and I was really gung ho about starting the job and working for him since he seemed so nice. This showed me that all that glitters ain't gold. My excitement was a waste.

I definitely learned a lot in my short time there. Not only him but many of the others working there were extremely fake people. They would seem so nice and humane when dealing with customers for example but as soon as a customer turned their back they would be judging them in hushed tones for no reason, gossipping, calling the customers dumb, rolling their eyes etc. It was like we are in high school with how immature and insecure they were. But I guess that's why those coworkers still work there... They are on the same narcissistic wavelength as that crazy boss.

Yes my boss right now. This person is just a manager but they seriously act like they own the company when they don't.

Thank you. I'm actually considering one of 2 things. Contacting the owner of the company who is this managers boss and providing proof of how they speak and treat the employees or leaving and trying to find another job

Ahh... I've tended to figure that the higher ups either know and dont care or are the same way... or that eventually they will realize whats going on without me telling on the manager. I honestly suspect its usually the former. But i have worked in several large corporations so maybe if your work is different then telling on them may be a good idea

@Jdookyky I don't think the owner of the company is truly aware of what is going on as they had some time of work due to a death in the family. The owner when he came back demoted a former manager back down to team leader but the owner definitely
i dont think is aware this particular manager is a big part of the reason for why workers are quitting and not wanting to be at work and why at times they are left short staffed. I think the owner would probably care since they have lost one contract with a pretty big company and they are about to lose more contracts with other companies

This manager basically told me after I found out i pregnant that I can't have any days off work even if i attend hospital appointments for the baby because I will be fired if I do. In that moment it made me feel like she was telling me i needed to kill my baby if I want my job the thing is she herself is a mother and has kids. This manager is so convinced you cure your medical conditions by taking marijuana but if any employees dared take marijuana we would be fired on the spot and even charged by police as marijuana is illegal here
