Are geniuses the ones that get the best grades in school etc?

Some of the smarter people who I've known are the ones who do not necessarily get the best grades. Even throughout history some of the people who we consider to be the geniuses were not necessarily the ones who were the best in school. And I've known people who got the best grades who I thought where only "book smart" and didn't really seem all that bright to me.

Generally, no- school systems, at least here in the US, are set up to help the SLOWEST; the fastest pretty much inevitably get bored and mentally move on to something else.

Some of the geniuses are taking a lot of drugs, stealing and setting things on fire.

No. Some people are extremely good at taking tests, and tests determine your grades.
