Why do independent, salaried women (with just as good jobs as me!) need a man who makes a lot of $. Isn't having a really good job enough?

I get it there are gold diggers, but it seems to still be a very big thing for women ($). I work with plenty of women (and have in my career) at jobs where they make more than plenty. I get it's an evolutionary thing, but unless you have a bad job it shouldn't matter. Oh plus don't you just end up unhappy in a big house?

Several items.

Being an independent woman means that we can support and sustain ourselves without the assistance or help from a partner. If the women you work with make the same amount of money as you do, then kudos to the company for being equal. 🎉🌟 Also, as far as "needing" a man for money... That's not why the independent woman is dating him. She makes her own money.
Woman want men to be as independent in their own careers & be established too so they know they can count on their partner to be responsible. Most women aren't looking for a man that isn't working or can't support himself.

I do not care what any woman says, the truth is they want a partner that can be admired. Not hopeful to admire but rather with concrete Achievements that make him worth their Time and Efforts. Breadwinner and/or Acclaimed in Field are two expectations for the “hot” ones. You can define “hot” for yourself.
