Should I move to California to achieve my dream of becoming a writer/actress, or am I being crazy?

I’ve written many stories/movies that I believe would be big hits. I want to star in them and make a name for myself. Would It be crazy moving myself to California to get discovered?

Crazy? perhaps, but not unheard of. Sylvester Stallone wrote and stared in the first 6 Rocky films and had a hand in writing the screenplays in the other films in that series. Keep in mind that writing screenplays is different than writing a novel in that you must always have a camera shot in mind. For this reason, the scripts of many famous novels which were made into motion pictures were written by screenwriters and not the author of the novel. The classic film "Gone With The Wind" is one example.

I think that you should try to contact someone who works in the film industry and have them evaluate your scripts before you move to Hollywood. That way, you'll know whether you actually have any chance of having your movies produced.
