Don't be tricked by what appear to be high salaries. Outrageous housing costs as well as a high cost of living will eat away at your earnings. Big CA cities like San Francisco are even more expensive.

If you are in Texas, you aren't used to paying state income tax. Well, be prepared for at least a 7-8% tax payment going for Sacramento.

It’s really expensive out here. It’s either really hot, really cold, warm, raining or snowing. Traffic is just awful. I don’t even drive and it makes me mad. What you can do in California you can do anywhere. Go to the beach, amusement parks, go to the pier. It just depends on what you like to do whatever that is

It depends on what part of California you want to live in. It’s a huge state and all the areas are very different from each other.

There is a lot to do, depending on where you live though of course. Living near the ocean is real expensive as you'd expect. Inland, not so expensive. If you like mountains, there are areas to live that are near or in the mountains. As well as the desert. There are several National Parks here if you're into the outdoors thing. What kind of area are you interested in living in? Is there a particular type of work that you do?

Depending on where you are, the cost of living is way too expensive, traffic sucks, a 10 mile commute to work can take over an hour, the state leadership is horrible, people are leaving the state in droves.
Parts of the state are beautiful, there are floods, earth quakes, fires to contend with.
Not where I want to live any more.
I lived in long beach.

I know someone from California where ever you move to there be careful cause it's a high cost of living, there are fires, sometimes the breathing can be bad there, etc.
