I work as a casual cleaner. Originally, I was only working 3 days a week, as I had disclosed at the induction before I was hired that I did have doctors' appointments to attend. The manager was understanding, so I was only scheduled to work 3 days a week. As time went on, I started noticing my shifts went from 3 days a week to 4 days a week and that my start time was getting later and later as the manager was favouring other workers who started working for the company at the same time as me and basically giving them my early start time. Fast forward, despite disclosing to the manager multiple times that I couldn't commit to the 5 days a week, what does the manager do? They go and roster me on to work 5 days a week, and my starting time got even later, and any time I request time off work to attend doctors' appointments, the manager gets annoyed with me for requesting time off work, even though I had disclosed at the induction that I had doctors' appointments and I couldn't work the full 5 days.
Would you quit the job? Or am I in the wrong?
Many of these appointments I am attending are specialist appointments that can take weeks or even months to get into and each and every time I do show proof so my boss can see I do have genuine reasons for requesting time work but still the boss still gets annoyed with me
