Should I take time off work?

Anonymous

I've been working (employed) for 10 years non stop. I changed few companies but always jumped straight the next day to work, never had a longer break then 2 weeks mandatory holidays. I work in IT so pay and benefits are good, but to be honest I've lost the passion I had about it. I feel like I want to explore new things, focus on personal projects and maybe change career completely. And of course just rest. I have enough in savings to live comfortably for a year without working, but I would have to return to my home country that I left few years ago for that period. Because I have my own flat there and it's 70% cheaper. I have friends and family there, but I don't really like the country to be honest, if not for this idea would've never consider returning.
