This is a public school office though… 17 is the age of consent in my state but I think this is taking that a little far.

The hospital I used to work at wouldn’t dare put decorations up, except for the menorah in the corporate office when that is applicable. In the actual patient care areas, a large hospital in an urban setting can’t afford to offend people who are used to getting away with consequence free violence. On the plus side, that same hospital just gave guns to a respectable portion of its security force, so we’ll see if that changes anything.

Well played sir, well played. And correct… When the world first ended the hospital paid boatloads of overtime to make sure that families wouldn’t break into the hospital to comfort their dying grandparents. It’s nice to see an organization with priorities. I remember a situation that was about to go south in a hurry where an entire extended family showed up pushed past the greeter and were stopped by one public safety officer in the hallway by the surgical waiting area on the second floor. So the family said we’re going in, and the guard said no you aren’t. Family starts fingering knives and keys and who knows what else, more security shows up, and the security strategy was knock as many over the balcony to the floor below as possible to do something about the 3-1 odds with lots of weapons. Thank god cooler heads prevailed because there would have been death on both sides. Isn’t working in an urban hospital fun?
