If a person can become homeless despite going to college then what's the point of going to college?

It’s possible for anyone to become homeless under the right circumstances but most college graduates are not homeless. Some people are out on the streets because of substance abuse or mental health issues. A college degree does nothing to address that. The major cause though is lack of affordable housing. Many of the homeless had a job but couldn’t afford a place to live in their area. Then it becomes difficult to maintain employment when you don’t have a place to sleep and bathe. It’s a vicious cycle. It also depends on whether your degree is useful to the job market. If you’re a philosophy major, you’re pretty much going to be in the same boat as the uneducated scrounging for $15/hr jobs. College is very valuable if you choose an in demand field.
firstly sadly we have to accept it that having a college degree doesn’t mean anything at all that you are smart and will find a job etc etc. anyone can have a college degree nowadays anyone.
The point of university is to submit to your master/boss. “ Please hire me I have the degree” That’s all. It simply means you are dedicated to suffering long term and determined to finish a stupidity and to submit that proof to your boss or future ceo.
Instead of maybe becoming one the boss of yourself
The homeless person in a way it’s a boss of their life: we make fun of them. But to take a day off they don’t have to plea to their boss and ask them to pls get a day off to check your hemorrhoids to the dr.
It’s about prospective
Going to college or getting a degree isn't a guarantee of anything.
You could spend your entire time in college loitering around and you'll end up with just a piece of paper and no skills.
If you utilised your time there well, even if you become homeless, you'll have the skills, knowledge and network to slowly build again.
Really depends on what the person went to college for and if they couldn't find work so they became homeless cause not being able to pay bills and housing. Getting a degree from college wouldn't necessarily grant you a job when applying for a job. There's probably hundred or thousands applying for that same job.

A college degree isn't as valuable as it use it be. It's now just the next step after high school to most people. Most of them aren't even thinking about all the other jobs they could go into that don't need a degree.
Where? In America, it could be because of medical bankruptcy. Almost anywhere else it could be because of mental illness.
Or not being able to find a job in their career field cause nobody wants to hire them and if they do get hire it's minimum wage. The debt is probably kicking their ass as well.
There are careers that require higher, detailed, levels of education. Example, you can’t enter the medical profession without it.
You need a lot more than a degree to be a doctor. Also as long as you take the required classes for medical school you can major in anything.
My mom recently retired for being doctor, she got her bachelor's degree in Scandinavian Literature. A friend recently got his medical liscence and he got his bachelor's in music.
The reason why I say you need more than college is because you need medical school and residency before you get the M. D.
Honor, but I'll be 100% honest, in my case, I just went to college because my mom was threatening me either work or college and I sure as hell wasn't gonna work
There's a logical fallacy somewhere in what you said.
To not become homeless as quickly as the one's that did not go to college.
The likliehood of being homeless and a college graduate is lower
If a person has gone to college, I’m sure she/he wouldn’t become homeless. Because he has gained a skill or knowledge at college that’ll can create money for him.
A college degree will get you in the front door but the rest is up to.
Not to be rude but that's kind of silly logic. Anything can go wrong with anything. If my food can spoil, what's the point of getting food? If my locks can be picked, what's the point of locking my doors?
That’s like asking if a person can die after being born what’s the point in living lol
Hold on slick. Anyone can become homeless with the right circumstances.
That a colleges don't teach anyone anything anymore
Yeah--because THAT'S the reason people go to college!
*eye roll*
Now your asking the right questions.
There is no point
