Let's say that you meet someone at the gym or something, and you ask them what they do for living. They say they're a financial advisor. Not a finance influencer, but someone who has a degree and is actually certified. What thoughts appear in your head? Any positive or negative stereotypes?
I get a rather negative impression on that person because he/she does not really have the interest of the client in mind but rather how to fill his/her own pockets with commissions, kickbacks (front end or back end) and incentives.
Those financial advisors will try to have the client invest as much funds or assets as possible, not always in the best interest of the client but more on bonds/shares that have the greatest interests or return on investments because of the commission earned on the investments.
That is my basic first thought and I would certainly never talk finances with such a person by fear of being targeted, just like all those marketing companies are attempting to do in order to maximize a profit unless that advisor is a fee-only financial advisor. However, the fees charges are not small...

I work with them to facilitate services on behalf of mutual clients so I’m being a little biased.
I’d say most of them are ok but you have a few that act like know it all douche bags with a terrible attitude and people skills at times.
Just be friendly and professional and you should be fine.
They are rich and want some of my hard asset money for their paper monies stock market...
