How do you feel about being poor?

I decided today I might not be able to make big dollars cause I do not have the ambition, or the work ethic to make millions, I work hard, but not as hard as the Wall Street bankers or the Harvard medical guys, so I don’t really fit in the highest wealth bracket.

Depends on how you define poor. I’ve certainly been pretty fuckin broke before, but I’ve always had enough to eat and keep a roof over my head so I’ve been more fortunate than many.
Making 6 figures now with lots of room to advance so not an issue anymore

Compared to what? I make far more that the average family income in my county, but compared to some of my neighbors I am practically a pauper.

I'm not poor. I mean, we're basically middle class. But I feel VERY wealthy.

I read the book "Behind the Beautiful Forevers" by Katherine Boo. Changed my life, and my perspective of how much I really have in life. I am SO much more grateful for what I have: people over there dig through trash to make a meager living. They live in huts and barely make enough to survive. They get sick in swampy season because the water levels rise and the sewage spreads.

I live in a country with fresh, running water, have food every day, and live in a house. I also have my best friend to make every day better. As far as I'm concerned, I'm the richest person in the world.

It's all about perspective and gratitude. I highly recommend the book...

I was poor for most of my life. It can suck, but when I worked hard to get myself in a better position in life what I remember is that other than my parents, nobody cared and people weren't willing to help me out or even be fair and do for me what I have done for them in the past when I was able to so now that I have the means, I don't help anyone that hasn't been good to me, including relatives. I'd rather let them starve or go homeless than aid them.

I also don't have sympathy for people that aren't willing to sacrifice their time and leisure time in life to better themselves. It only takes temporary sacrifice and temporary hard work to be in a better position in life, but too many people complain a lot while doing nothing to improve their situation.

Lol. Well I come from a rich dental family. I’m almost a dentist. My whole family are dentists with clinics. My dad is a multi millionaire worth 10mill and owns a mansion, I’m going to takeover the dental empire one day and grow it to 100mill. You thought this would just come to you? My family are exceptional individuals. Your iq must be really low that you think this is gonna land at your feet. You’re even 38, my dad was a millionaire by the time he was like 30ish all those years ago. You’re too old to be thinking about this. Even with how much I’m blessed with I know I will have a ton of shit and challenges to get to where I want to. Big challenges. People expect the world for nothing, I find it disrespectful. Also, what’s hard work without a high level of education? Everyone works hard.

I am not poor but I was and it really sucked. It was worse when I got married and had a kid and could not afford a lot of things and sometimes could not afford to go to the supermarket.
