How much would it cost to buy insurance with a learner's permit?

I'm not talking about adding a teenage son onto a parent's car insurance. I'm talking about a learner driver buying their own car + insurance. Does anyone know how much it costs?

It depends on which state the driver lives in because of liability (tort) laws. In any case, the premium will be in the thousands annually. My guess would be $4,000 to $6,000 USD.

You can't unless you have an actual license. The person teaching you to drive is responsible (ownercof the car). If you get a ticket or an accident your permit gets revoked for 6 months or a year or two?

no you can buy your own car and insurance with a learner's permit, you just cannot drive it without a licensed person present with you in the car
