What is the difference between x = 6, x >6, and x < 6?

X= 6 means that x is 6: 6=6

X>6 means that x could be anything greater than 6. 7 and above to infinity or even 6 point infinity (unless it has to be a whole number). 6.000000000000000000001 is still greater than 6 and makes that statement true.

x < 6 means x is 5 and below and to infinity if it has to be a whole number or 5 point infinity and below if it doesn't have to be a whole number. 5.999999999999999999999999999999991 is still less than 6 and makes the statement true.

Is this some kind of trick question?

NONE of those 3 statements can be true at the same time. One can be true while the others cannot be true simultaneously.

x>6 means that the value of x is some number greater (higher) than 6.
