Great answers here.
1. Parentheses/brackets first.
2. Exponents/indices/orders next.
3. Multiplication and division are same level, so in order - 3x3÷1=9; 3÷3x1=1
4. Addition and subtraction are same level, so in order.
PEMDAS or BIDMAS or BODMAS
Its simple. Apple the rule: DMAS (division, multiplication, addition and subtraction). Go in this sequence and you will get your answer
I forgot about that 😂 I learned that in 5th grade I thought it was 43
B/c or order of operation. Although the parentheses are not there, you multiply then subtract THEN add. The equation ie essentially 5x5=25. 25-2=23. Then 23+4=27. (God, I hope I got it right!) 🤞

order of operation, 5 X 5 = 25 + 4 =29 - 2 = 27. show your work...
PEMDAS:
4+(5x5)-2
(4+25)-2
29-2
27
We call it bidmas here
It is BIDMAS
5x5 = 25 4 =29 - 2 =27
Dude, ever went to school? Lol..
Going school is a privilege don’t put people down who didn’t have the same opportunities you did
more than 750 million adults around the world are illiterate and two-thirds of them are women Another 250 million children of primary school age do not have a grasp of basic literacy skills They are in danger of being left behind
* to*
That's deep man...
Nevertheless he IS correct. Getting an education may be a right in MOST western style democracies, however getting a GOOD education, and an effective education at that, is most definitely a privilege! Regardless of how well I was doing, when more than sixty percent of students at my public elementary school failed to achieve basic reading and math scores AT their grade level, my parents pulled me out and enrolled me in a top private school, because they were/are privileged to have the financial resources to afford that. Imagine the students who were not privileged enough to have parents who could afford a top private school? They were stuck, languishing in a school that was not teaching to even the most basic grade level in the most fundamental areas of math and language! Believe me… even in western democracies, a good education IS a privilege!
@CrazyGirl2 👍👍
Thanks, @PianusNdeeAnus Made a great point, the comment I made above merely illustrated my experience as someone WITH privilege who was able to escape a poorly performing school, and attend a top performing private school. I fully believe in school choice, because if public schools had to compete with each other as well as with private schools for the $12,000 per student, per year (in Florida), like businesses do, the quality of education would increase for everyone, even the poorest students. Also passing laws to make it as easy to fire a poorly performing teacher, as it is to fire a poorly performing employee in any other career field would make it MUCH better for students. A good education should NEVER be a privilege! We ALL deserve an excellent education, regardless of our parents income!
Oops! That was @PainusNdeeAnus My bad!
