For the answer to be 10, the equation would need to be written as (2 + 2 - 4) \times 0, but even then, the answer would be 0. There is no standard way to reach 10 with those specific numbers, but then again, math was never my thing.

Only in base 4. It equals four. The convention is that multiplication and division are done first, so you have 2+2-(4x0) = 2 + 2 - 0 = 4.

Then:

2+2 = 4
