Tonight I had my College Honors program ceremony on zoom. Some people were getting so emotional while on video cam, and even the speakers here getting emotional when telling their stories. It was a lot that anyone can achieve the impossible, set goals for yourself kind of speeches. I get it, though. Some people, such as me, have come close in high school to being honors but never made it. But, in college, they finally got good grades to be considered honors. They kept telling us High school doesn't matter anymore after you get into college. Do honors look that good or make any difference?

I couldn't care less about my grad party after I finished school. It was the process of getting a degree that made me feel accomplished. Once I got my degree, I did not feel too important. Because now I had to locate the next bull I needed to hunt.
It's not graduation, it's a honors program induction ceremony
That is still a worthy custom. I can understand why people would feel valuable in it - people need to feel significant to feel their hard work is justified.
Maybe those are the people who actually worked hard.. For me it was always easy so I never worked hard that's why I never get emotional
Owners make people feel really good but other than that they don't seem to make any difference
