What do rappers do as a job in America?

When i was a kid, i thought every rapper can make good money in the US. But obviously most are probably have to work at regular jobs.

Famous rappers make serious money. Up and coming rappers vary. Street dudes sell drugs, commit robbery, etc. Civilians (not involved in street crime or gang life) probably just work 9-5. All depends if you’re truly struggling in the hood or if you’re well off already

Every time one turns up dead they are all aspiring rappers that were really turning their lives around. What got them killed is anyone's guess.
