This is the wise theory: Do not shit where you eat. The person with the power to hire or fire you is your boss. If your boss is the kind of person who'd USE you for sex, his guarantee of a promotion is, more than likely, an incredible lie.

There needs to be some distance between a boss and an employee. You can be cordial and friendly, but using your power to dupe a worker is all kinds of wrong and in most cases, an employee can SUE a boss for any behavior that includes sexual coercion for a job favor.
