I’m not a Civil Engineer, but I am a Survey Engineer.
They’re two similar professions with a lot of overlap.
I mean as far as I’m concerned, every country has a need for them.
Unless of course they’re racked by some sort of war hindering their Real Estate and economic development, virtually every country in the world has a growing economy, and often its the lower income countries that have economic growth at the fastest rates.
So I would assume that perhaps I could be paid more because of the shortage and therefore the elevated need.
Or perhaps I’d be paid less because the academic standards other countries might have for Engineers could be far lower.
