I work at a daycare and typically go by the school calendar on days I have off. Well me and my coworkers were given back in September a schedule of the holidays and the days off. Well come Christmas time he changed it. But I had plans and they only gave me a 4 day warning. So I wasn't canceling my plans and told them I'm not coming. And everyone was mad like I was being unreasonable. Now comes today and my boss says the owner changed spring break from the 13th-20th of March. To now being the 9th-13th. But again I made plans because my boyfriend is taking that time off to visit me the whole week. And again they're mad I told them I'm not coming in, that I was told a certain schedule months ago. Am I wrong for saying I'm not coming? Like am I being unreasonable?

Your boss is being unreasonable, but if you don't show up according to the current schedule, you can still be fired for cause (which means you aren't eligible for unemployment compensation.) However, I know where you can get another day care job immediately!
That's not fair though. I was told prior to this months ago on that other schedule that we'd have the time I made my plans for off
Your boss is wrong he gave you a schedule and that's what you went by
We haven't gotten to spring break yet. But this is the second time he's changed a schedule and tike we are supposed to be closed just because he doesn't wanna close long because he's money hungry. But that's not fair. We were given this month's ago. Even if I didn't make plans it's still rude and not fair to constantly change what was said. But now everyone is acting like I'm being a brat
your boss...
So I'm not crazy then. Cause everyone keeps looking at me mad like I'm doing something wrong. But I got told a time frame that keeps being changed. That's not fair to the employees
