Is in, multiple applicants, or multiple interviewers? I've done group interviews, where there were multiple interviewers, but never multiple people applying for the same job.
They had one person interview me for my job specific skill sets, one person interview me for my interpersonal skills, one person who interviewed me on my past job experience, and the forth person was the department head who I would be working under.
It wasn't anything entirely strange. It was a way of streamlining the process. Instead of having to do multiple interviews over multiple instances, everything was done right there on the spot.
Multiple applicants?

If you're referring to a panel interview (multiple intervierwers) then those are actually easier because they are usually the same time frame but less questions because there are more introductions. Gives you good opportunity to learn more about the company and more team members also.
If you're referring to group interview (multiple interviewees) I have experienced it once and it was not really an interview they just asked if I could do certain things while they were onboarding me and I got the job.
