After I came back from my surgery a couple of years ago it was obvious the boss wanted me gone. He changed my duties and I had to eat a pay cut. i put up with it for a couple of weeks and then i quit. I told him i had a got time working there and wanted to go before it got bad. He got canned a few weeks later because he messed up a project that I handed him before my surgery. All he had to do was do what I told him to do but he had to try and be a know it all so it got all messed up and was not done in time for the beginning of school. Somehow i got the emails between him and the vice president of the college. He was not pleased.

Kinda. When i left my “golden bowl” job to a commission based job.
took me 3 months to make my first commission. By end of the year I made the same as my regular job. Then stayed home with my babies for 5 years.
I had to decide if I go back to make a killer with commission based or to my regular golden bowl job.. I took the less … having the same schedule as my kids trump having lots of money. I didn’t want to pay others to raise my kids. I made a good decision. Soon I will complete my current job then go back to do other things I enjoy.

there are so much opportunities here…no one should “go hungry” … somehow that’s not the case.

It is better to walk away from a job that you dislike. I didn't stay unemployed very long. The manager and myself clashed in personality.
